Boxfresh Shoe Design for Talenthouse Competition

This is my submission for the Boxfresh shoe design contest, organized by Talenthouse.  The winning design will be sold in Schuh stores, with part of the profits going towards the Teenage Cancer Trust.  This was a really fun project, and benefits a great cause.

I really wanted to make a high energy, street style Union Jack sneaker to represent Boxfresh's London roots and presence.

You can vote for my submission here - every vote gets me one step closer to seeing this shoe made and in stores!

1851 Colt Navy Revolver

I made this piece as a gift for my brother, who was finishing grad school with a project on the life and times of Connecticut gun maker Sam Colt.

The Cryptid Bestiary

My first book, The Cryptid Bestiary, is officially finished!  This was my senior project for school, and encompassed two semesters of work.  I focused on my interest in creatures of myth and legend, taking a scientific look at these beasts as an expert would.

This was a process, but it was really fun and I learned a lot about the technical requirements of taking  a book to print.  For a more in-depth preview, and to purchase the book, visit The Cryptid Bestiary at Blurb.com

Man, this elephant just had to finish his burger.

This is an illustration for Jane Yolen's very succinct poem, "Infirm Pachyderm"

Fun with stop motion!

So instead of studying for finals, I took a break to organize my uncontrollable mess of files on my computer.  I dug up these stop motion animations from last semester's figure drawing class, and figured they would be cool to post.
